About the Medicine...
Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture and how it all works:
Acupuncture/ Chinese Medicine is a full system of medicine, for comprehensive health maintenance and to treat non-life threatening physical conditions. It is not for emergency purposes but rather to treat minor acute or chronic health and musculo-skeletal conditions and is an effective adjunctive therapy for more serious problems. Although through this system we can treat biochemical imbalances and organ related disease, as well as musculo-skeletal issues, the medicine works through what we can call the "energetic" level of the body, referred to in Chinese medical theory as "Qi", or vital life force energy. Modern day researchers believe the qi to be a sort of conduit or facilitator of effiicient communication between all of the cells, tissues and organs of the body.
The body is designed to heal itself if given what it needs. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can serve the purpose (along with other lifestyle choices) in helping to achieve this.
